Established in 1881, the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) is the largest institution for higher education in Japan dedicated to science and technology, one of the first five Designated National Universities and selected as a Top Type University of Top Global University Project by the Japanese government.

The Global Scientists and Engineers Program (GSEP), which belongs to the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, is the first and only international Bachelor of Engineering degree program at Tokyo Tech, where all subjects are taught in English.
